This year’s Landrum Christmas Parade – sponsored by the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District – is scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
Registration is now open, and forms can be downloaded HERE.
Hardcopies of parade registration forms are also available at Landrum City Hall, the fire station, and The News Leader office on N. Trade.
A $10 registration donation is suggested, with all proceeds to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Landrum.
All entries must be received by December 1, 2017.
“We encourage businesses, clubs, church groups, organizations, schools, and others to participate,” said Chief Ashmore. “People really enjoy this parade because it includes horses, tractors, fire engines, music, special floats, and all types of vehicles.”
Dignitaries include the parade’s grand marshal who is the Lions Club’s Citizen of the Year, local elected officials, and, of course, Santa.
The route begins on N. Trade Avenue between the Depot and the fire station. It continues down N. Trade Avenue, turning left on E. Rutherford, and progresses to Redland Road with a right turn at O. P. Earle Elementary School. The parade ends at Landrum Middle School.
City of Landrum personnel and the Landrum Community Events Team will assist with this year’s parade.
The annual Landrum Christmas Stroll begins downtown as the parade passes and will conclude at 8:00 p.m.
Activities for the Stroll will be announced soon.
