Launched on January 23, 2023, Silver Checks is a new service for Spartanburg County residents who live alone, are homebound, or who may benefit from a regular welfare check.
Anyone registered for Silver Checks will receive automated reach-outs at 10:00 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by phone, text, or email — their choice(s).
Each message will require the participant to respond indicating that they’re OK.
If they fail to respond to the initial contact and to the two initiated follow-ups that day or if they respond with a request for assistance, a volunteer will attempt to reach them personally.
Automated telephone messages will come from 864-310-7921 and texts will come from 88911.
