On Monday, September 11, 2023, the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District will conduct its annual observance of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks against the United States.
This year’s observance will take place at the Landrum Depot at 6:00 p.m.

- Presentation of Colors by Polk County Memorial Honor Guard
- Pledge of Allegiance
- National Anthem
- Prayer
- Welcome – Bob Briggs, Mayor
- Guest Speaker – Steve Boehm, FDNY (Ret.)
- Guest Speaker- Rusty Clevenger, Spartanburg County Coroner
- Bell Ceremony – Striking the Four Fives (Firing of Rifles and Taps presented by Polk County Memorial Honor Guard)
- “God Bless America”
- Prayer
- Conclusion of Memorial Service
