The Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District is governed by a five member commission that serves without compensation.
With the establishment of the District in 2015, the elected commission is made of two members from the City of Landrum, two members outside of Landrum in Spartanburg County, and one member from the area served in Greenville County.
The daily administration of the District is the responsibility of the fire chief, who reports directly to the commission.
