
On Friday, September 11, 2026, the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District will observe the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks against the United States.
This year’s observance will take place at the Landrum Depot at 6:00 p.m.
For planning purposes, the event’s agenda* is below.
- Raising the American Flag by Campobello and Inman City Ladder Trucks
- Presentation of Colors by Polk County Memorial Honor Guard
- Pledge of Allegiance
- National Anthem – Brayden Rollins
- Prayer – Pastor and Fire Chaplain Gary Rogers, Campobello First Baptist Church
- Welcome – Landrum Mayor Bob Briggs
- Introduction of Guest Speaker – Lt. Shannon Dotson
- Guest Speaker – Rep. Josiah Magnuson, SC House Dist 38
- “Taps” and Gun Salute
- Dove Release Ceremony (Presented by LJ Meyers)
- Bagpipes
- Conclusion of Memorial Service
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the public is invited inside the Depot for a remembrance video, light refreshments, and a time to personally meet our NY responders.
The Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District extends a special thanks to all first responders across the nation who place their lives in harm’s way every day to protect their friends and neighbors.

** In case of inclement weather, attendees will be directed to a nearby alternate location.
*** A quorum of the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District Commission may be present, but no business will be conducted.
