The Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District has an opening for Full-Time Captain/EVT/National Registry EMT-Basic. This position responds to emergencies including fire suppression and emergency medical calls.
This position will work a 24/48 shift and fill-in, as necessary.
Applications will be accepted from June 7, 2021 through June 21, 2021 and may be submitted to Chief Ashmore between the hours of 0800 and 1700 Monday through Friday at the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District headquarters located at 200 North Trade Avenue, Landrum SC, 29356.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with minimum of Class E endorsement
- Prefer SC/IFSAC Firefighter Level 2, Fire Officer and Incident Command, Hazardous Materials Operations certifications
- Prefer National Registry EMT-Basic certification (must obtain within 12 months of employment)
- EVDT and Pump Operations (preferred)
- 3-years of fire management experience
- Minimum of 5-years fire service experience
- Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification or ability to receive technician certification
