Welcome Tiffany Freel

Tiffany Freel recites the oath of office and is sworn in as a member of the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District commission on February 22, 2021 while her husband Josh holds the Bible.

At the February 22, 2021 meeting of the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District commission, the District welcomed its newest commissioner, Mrs. Tiffany Freel, to fill the unexpired portion of the term left by the August 2020 resignation of Mrs. Diana Winkler.

According to the section of state law that governs the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District, “A vacancy occurring on the commission by reason of death, resignation, incapacity, or otherwise, must be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term by the Governor upon recommendation by the members of the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives who represent the district.”

A longtime supporter of the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District, Mrs. Freel was nominated by the Landrum area’s legislative delegation and appointed by Governor McMaster to fill the remainder of the term which ends in December 2023.
