Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District Observes 23rd Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Landrum Depot, the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District conducted its annual observance of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks against the United States.

For anyone who was unable to join us in remembering those who lost their lives that fateful morning, we wanted to provide this record of the service.

The Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District wishes to offer a special thanks to each of the evening’s event participants, the Town of Campobello Fire Department, the City of Inman Fire Department, the City of Landrum Police Department, and all first responders across the nation who place their lives in harm’s way every day to protect their friends and neighbors.

 

Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District to Remember Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Landrum Area Fire and Rescue District will conduct its annual observance of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks against the United States.

This year’s observance will take place at the Landrum Depot at 6:00 p.m.

  • Presentation of Colors by Polk County Memorial Honor Guard
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Prayer – Pastor and Fire Chaplain Gary Rogers, Campobello First Baptist Church

  • Guest Speaker – Steve Boehm, FDNY (Ret.)
  • Guest Speaker- Chris Cothran, Fire Chief; City of Inman
